Lawrence Dardani was born on 8th September 1982 and both graduated and obtained his masters at the University of Genoa, gaining honours in both occasions.
Throughout his studies he attended various international Universities, including Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, London School of Economics and the Institute of Maritime Law of the University of Southampton.
In October 2007 he joined, as a tenant, Genoa Chambers.
In October 2008 he moved to London to study English law and, there, he first obtained the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) at City University and, then, successfully attended the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) at BPP.
He now practices as a partner of Dardani Studio Legale appearing before Italian courts and arbitrators, and advising clients over matters relating to all areas of shipping law and international trade law. He also appears before judges bringing applications for urgent measures, as arrests of vessels and liens on cargo.
The main focus of his practice is primarily on English law related matters and disputes, as well as comparative law and international private law issues.
He has expertise in the matter of charterparties, carriage of goods by sea, liability of classification societies, as well as shipbuilding contracts, ship sale and purchase and ship finance. His expertise also expands to all matters regarding the international sale of commodities.
He was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2010, as a member of the Genoa Bar, and was called to the English Bar shortly after. He speaks Italian, English and Spanish.
