Marco Manzone born in Palermo on 21st November 1979 and graduated in law at the University of Parma in 2003.
After a work experience in Spain and in London, he joined in 2007 the group of lawyers led by Maurizio Dardani. He now practices as a partner of Dardani Studio Legale.
Marco is providing legal services at international level in the field of maritime law and international trade. He has been involved into several cases covering various aspects of shipping and transport law, with roles of growing responsibility.
In particular he has assisted Clients in transactions for the sale and purchase of ships, in shipbuilding contracts, and in ship finance, counselling Clients also at closing meetings, in charterparties disputes, and in precautionary measures such as arrest of ships or liens on cargo. He also handles cargo claims mainly on behalf of shipowners.
He is also particularly keen on the law of international trade and he assists Clients in commodity disputes (including international arbitrations) and non-litigation matters.
Within Dardani Studio Legale, he is also in charge of researching on a regular basis on specific legal maritime issues governed by Italian and English law and to report such researches to the other colleagues by means of internal seminars. He is also a contributor of the ILO newsletter for the Italian updates on shipping and transport law.
He was admitted to Italian Bar in 2006 and he is a member of the Genoa Bar. Having completed the qualified lawyer transfer test, in October 2012 he joined the Law Society as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. He speaks Italian, English and Spanish.
